Brahmastra is a high-caliber Bollywood film, one of the most anticipated of the year. It is directed by Ayan Mukerji and stars Ranbir Kapoor, Alia Bhatt, Amitabh Bachchan, Nagarjuna, Mouni Roy, and more. It is a fantasy adventure film with a mystical Indian theme. In a new video, Mukerji explores the ‘astras’, concept art, and the film’s plot.
Ayan Mukerji explained the film’s concept in this way: “We have been building the foundations of a universe based on the concept of astras called the Astraverse.”
He told a story: “It begins with an image from a mystical time in ancient India where a group of sages are performing deep meditation deep in the Himalayas”. As they meditate, the sages are blessed with a pure, powerful, and most powerful force – Brahm Shakti. Brahm Shakti gives birth to astras, “Astras that contain all the different energies in nature.”
