Star of the film Drop Dead Gorgeous, Denise Richards, was reportedly stunned and horrified after a road rage incident in South Los Angeles ended in a gunshot. TMZ was the first to announce that Denise, 51, and her husband Aaron Phypers, 47, were travelling to Popsicle Studio on Monday, Nov. 14. Although another vehicle became irritated even as Aaron let them pass, it was claimed that Aaron had problems finding the studio. Still, a shot rang out, striking the back of the grey Ford F-150 Shelby truck’s driver’s side. The mother of three reportedly arrived on set in tears of fright, clearly shaken.
Denise, who apparently worked with her husband nearby during her 12-hour shift, asked for an off-duty police escort to take them securely to the motorway after she was finished.

Denise was left completely speechless by the encounter, a source told PEOPLE on November 15. According to a set insider, “She was obviously rattled up and afraid, but she was a trooper and she went and recorded the whole day.” She didn’t want to miss her shift at work. In addition, the magazine said that the other car was a gold and maroon van that was “following” them.
The insider claimed that “[Aaron] could tell” since he continued to make rights even while they were obviously being observed. “The guy behind him was clearly irate. The couple was “frantic,” trying to make sense of the situation as the vehicle was “on his tail, pushing him nearly… they couldn’t figure it out.” PEOPLE said that after Aaron cut off the other driver, there was also a yelling match.
The source for the publication said: “The person had left by that point, but when they saw the car was shot, they were genuinely frightened out, and the production guarded the scene. “Despite their annoyance, [Richards] chose to remain and film. Her involvement was only for one day.
