Korean Air, one of the largest airlines in the world, has some of the best first class and business class products on earth—that’s a given. But Korean Air also has an economy class that’s not too bad either. Here are 6 tips for making the most of your Korean Air Economy Class experience to make sure you enjoy your journey from Point A to Point B with minimal stress and maximum comfort.
1) Check-in early to get the best seat
Check-in early to get a window seat or at least an aisle seat. Window seats have more leg room and you can lean on the armrest when you’re feeling exhausted. Aisle seats are better when there are two people sitting together because it’s easier to chat with your travel buddy.
2) Bring your own entertainment
Bring your own entertainment. There are a few screens on each side of the plane but they don’t work very well and there is no Wi-Fi on board. Bring your laptop, tablet, or book to keep yourself busy and entertained throughout your flight.
3) Pack light to avoid fees
Pack light to avoid fees and make your flight as comfortable as possible. The lighter your luggage, the less you’ll pay in overweight baggage fees. You will also have an easier time maneuvering around an airplane cabin with fewer items to carry.
4) Dress comfortably
Dress comfortably for long flights. You may be sitting in a chair for hours, so it’s important to wear clothes that are lightweight and easy to move in. Wear light colors and natural fabrics like cotton. And don’t forget your slippers!
5) Use a pillow and blanket
I get cold easily so I always bring a blanket and pillow. The airline provides free blankets, but they’re not as comfortable as my own. Bring your own in order to be more comfortable!
Additionally, if you want to really stretch out you can use both the bottom part of your blanket and your pillow at once. It’s like having two pillows!
6) Explore in-flight amenities
Economy class has come a long way in recent years, but it still can’t compare to what you get on a business class or first class ticket. If you’re lucky enough to fly Korean Air, though, there are some things that’ll make the experience much more enjoyable.
