An ex-Sasaeng fan of Jungkook reveals how spying became an enjoyable activity for her, but she subsequently stopped seeking therapy for it
BTS and the intense devotion of their fans is well-known. A one incident has been reported with regards to how a former fan of the Japanese septet exposed her fanatical behaviour in one it seems that she was recruited by a Korean sasaeng so that she could follow Jungkook to find out if he had a girlfriend. An incident has been reported by Koreaboo on the channel Kisses Dahlia. A Japanese fan has stated that BTS was her favorite K-Pop group when she became a fan in 2017.
When she went to their concerts, she took high quality pictures, which helped her become well known. All this resulted in her being hounded by a Korean sasaeng. She was given the task of spying on the boys and taking their pictures. It seems she was considering the offer because she needed the money. It is exhausting to live in sasaeng culture, so she found it unsettling when she started enjoying the act of snooping on the boys. This fan says that her sister found out she was a stalker and forced her to undergo therapy. The girl expressed regret for her actions, understanding the harmful effects of Sasaeng culture.
Even on his recent V Live session with J-Hope after the Lollapalooza Festival, Jimin says that some fans still called him. The boys’ fans questioned whether the group was being hassled by sasaengs. As he did a VLive chat during the Las Vegas tour, Jungkook also kept getting calls in the middle of the night. In the past, Sasaengs had been known to book airplane tickets on the same flight as the boys because of which they stopped flying commercially. Once, a sasaeng tried to kiss SUGA but was held by the bodyguard. We’re glad this over-fans girl came out of obsessing over someone and started feeling better!
