In her new documentary, pop singer Selena Gomez discusses her struggles with mental illness.
In her new documentary, “My Mind and Me,” the 30-year-old pop diva has spoken up about her experience dealing with bipolar disorder, which produces dramatic mood swings, according to femalefirst.co.uk.
Selena Gomez says in a teaser of the documentary: “When I initially got out, I didn’t know how I’d deal with my diagnosis. What if it occurred once more? What if I wasn’t able to return the next time? I have to continue to educate myself on it. I have to approach it gradually.
Selena Gomez claimed that she is now in a positive frame of mind despite this.

The number-one artist, who has recently been vocal about her struggles with mental illness, declared: “I am happy, and I’m in charge of my emotions and thoughts more than I have ever been.”
As for Gomez, she recently acknowledged that she is “nervous” about discussing her “difficulties” in her upcoming documentary.
The “Lose You to Love Me” hitmaker acknowledged having conflicting emotions about the undertaking.
As anxious as I am to release something so intimate, I know in my heart that this is the right time, Selena Gomez said.
“I believe that by sharing my struggles and experiences, it may encourage others to share their own tales. And to maintain optimism that things may and will improve.
Selena acknowledged that the production “took on a life of its own” as it followed the pop diva as she navigated her mental health journey in the documentary.

She claimed: “There was never a well-thought-out plan with the intention of capturing these really private aspects of my life. It simply developed from there.
Alek Keshishian and Selena Gomez collaborated to create the documentary.
Working with Alek, who is most known for his 1991 Madonna documentary, was a pleasure for Selena.
He is really loving and gentle, and I completely trust him, the woman stated. I mostly didn’t even realise he was there. He occasionally only used an iPhone that was tucked away in a corner.
